On-the-Job Training (OJT) is an opportunity for an employer to mentor a person with a disability, helping them develop the skills needed to realize their career goals. On-the-Job Training takes place at a work site that is integrated into the community. Instruction/feedback is provided by a supervisor to assist the client in developing or re-establishing acceptable work habits and behaviors in order to obtain and/or retain competitive integrated employment. Easterseals is responsible for paying the trainee directly with an amount equal to the minimum wager per hour and is covered under Worker's Compensation Insurance.
