What does the Residential Program entail?

Easterseals staff assists program participants and provides opportunities for personal growth and skill development in the areas of activities of daily living such as: bathing, grooming, cooking, housekeeping, personal care, learning social skills, and assistance in community activities. The hours of service are based on the individual's needs and will be provided with minimum interference with their daily life. Individuals' interests and needs are considered when activities are planned, and residents enjoy both "family-style" outings and those of a more individual nature. Families are actively involved with their loved one and friends can visit frequently. Birthdays and holidays are encouraged to be celebrated with family and friends. Easterseals strives to assist people to become the best, well-rounded person as they possibly can be. It is important to Easterseals that people are an integral part of their community and neighborhood.
